You know where you stand with YoSushi. There are so many amazing Japanese restaurants in Edinburgh now, but I will always love the gimmick of the conveyor belt style that YoSushi offers. The blue Monday deal they do is pretty great and it is a good place to pop to for a quick lunch. I do find it can be easy to get carried away and just pick everything up from the conveyor belt, so sometimes you can be a little shocked when the bill arrives. The service in the Harvey Nichols branch is always pretty friendly, I sadly have been there a few times where the belt has been pretty empty for too long which is always disappointing when you are hungry! In general, there are better and moreauthenticplaces to visit but if you are looking for a fun quick bite to eat, I will always have love for YoSushi. frankly-ms-shankly.blogspot.com

This was my first experience of sitting in at Yo Sushi (previously I have only got take away). The new restaurant on Princes Street is really nice and one level up from street level so if you get a seat at the window it is perfect for people watching. We arrived around 6:30 on a Wednesday evening and had no problem getting seated. After picking a few bowls off the conveyor belt we ordered some of the dishes we really wanted off the menu. There was not a huge selection of dishes initially but this did get more varied after around half hour. The food was tasty and the staff were very friendly. Will definitely be back. frocksandfairycakes.com

When I first went to YO! Sushi, it was the first time I was in a restaurant working with a conveyor belt and I was slightly confused at first. While I enjoyed the experience and thought the sushi were really good, I wished things had been just slightly clearer in the presentation. I didn’t know sometimes what the sushi were and so I had to check in the book and by the time I knew it was already too far so I had to wait for it to be back on my side of the bar. And when we asked for tempura vegetables, we were told that they don’t do it at this particular location, which they should have told us when we first sat down. Also, I’m always disappointed by restaurants that make me pay for tap water. adventitiousviolet.com

Fun and yummy, just a tad pricey. Going to Yo! Sushi is an experience its very kitsch Japanese and good fun. The food is nicely presented and really tasty, with lots of choices available on the belt and aside from tempura there is a lot to available to order. The staff are friendly and attentive. It is however very expensive, before you know it you have totted up quite a huge bill, its best to go on a Monday where there is a good cheap deal. Regardless I would happily go back anytime.

I have been every week for the last month. While there is no tempura which is a personal favorite, the selection available is great. The staff attentive and always there to assist. Great food just choose the right company and you will enjoy!
