Ate lunch in the bar and had dinner and breakfast in the dining room. Every meal was provided to a very high standard with a wide selection on lovely meals available.
Had steaks and fish dishes here and all were perfectly cooked, with good quality ingredients. The menu is varied and the wine list was very good, all at very reasonable prices. This was, by far, the best food in Melrose.
Nicely appointed clean rooms with plenty of thoughtful options included and incredibly warm. Makeup mirrors, tea/coffee tray, Arran aromatics toiletries, large fluffy towels, pleasant helpful staff. We’ll definitely return for another stay!
We are regulars in the bar for supper but this time had a first class meal in the restaurant. Food was delicious and service as always spot on – thank you Marion & Anne.
Came here on sunday night for tea-non residents are allowed in after 6pm and its dog friendly. All the tables were booked but the staff managed to squeeze me in
A delicious roast Sirloin of beef as always. We don’t often have Sunday lunch out but never consider going anywhere else. It’s a real treat & beautifully cooked.
4:00 p.m. Just wanted a drink in the bar with a view of having food later – sorry residents only till 5:00 pm Wouldn’t have minded but only a couple of people in there – don’t bother
