Ate here earlier tonight and was a lovely meal. We both enjoyed and thought it was great. Nice atmosphere and wine was lovely. Lobster ravioli was really fresh and sauce great. The foccacia wasn’t oily like many other places we’ve been to. Straight forward delicious food. Worth extra walk out of our normal way and hope we head back again. Recommend it.
Yummy food. My partner and I were at Lamora the other weekend and had a lovely meal. Yes the food was reasonably priced which was great but it was also really tasty. I had the lobster ravioli which was very moreish, and my partner had a steak which he said was great. The place was pretty busy and had a nice buzz about it too. We will definately be going back.
Poor. Was really looking forward to this restaurant, but found the food very mediocre. Save your money and go elsewhere. The service was really slow and they didn’t seem too attentive when I was there. It wasn’t especially busy when I was in. There’s much better around, might be a little more expensive, but you get what you pay for.
Slowwwwwww. The waitress was friendly and nice enough. The service however was really slow… Maybe I was spoiled by being at the Italian Kitchen a couple of weeks before. There seemed to be a real lack of interest here in what you wanted. Pur started came quickly enough. We got complimentary bread (which sadly was the nicest part of the meal), I chose soup of the day, which was minestrone. Tasted as it does out of the tin. Nothing special. The bread that was supposed to come with this didn’t! The bread we got as a started must have been thought on as enough, even although it arrived 10 mins before the soup.We then waited 45 minutes. Yes, 45! for 2 pizzas. I got a margerita with percorino cheese and red onion. It arrived with very little percorino and a mix of red and white onion. My partner got a spicy saugsage and chicken one which looked a lot better. Her was crispy and soft, mine was crunchy and pretty bland. I ate around half of it (I was starving and this was my main meal of the day) and left un-satisfied as I was scared I would break my fillings with this base. My partners one, as I said, was a lot better so hopefully mine was a one off. I won’t be back to find out as when we asked for the bill we were then over charged. When I said to the waitress it actually seemed like she knew straight away and amended it, which is a little strange…The couple next to our table didn’t look too impressed with theirs. the female ordered steak and it was cold and was sent back. It came back 10 mins later, y which poin her partner had almost finished :(The price was reasonable, but you get what you pay for here, I’m afraid and wouldn’t even consider here again.Tam Cowan, you don’t know what you’re talking about man!!! Even the red wine was really sweet (the only one you can buy by the glass). Disappointing.
Brilliant. Well priced, well run, well cooked italian food.
Simply Italian. The food is simple Italian – you have your pastas, meat courses etc… but all executed well and most importantly in this current climate – inexpensively. The key about this restaurant is good food at a good price. The lunch menu is very good value at 8.95, with steak available without a supplement – I don’t know how this is possible. (the steak is very good too)The service is quick and efficient and the manger/owner is only ever happy to serve. I recommend to pop in here for lunch one afternoon before the word gets out and of course the prices go up!The only strange thing is why there are so many spotlights in the ceiling… Go in and count them, I gave up half way. Lol.I added this restaurant because I wanted to share this little gem with everyone else and it is a great addition to the cluster of good restaurants on this part of Argyle street.
Take away food is second to none, and leaves every other fast food joint standing – resto quality food to take home – why aren’t all take aways like this?????
