Dayum!. I cannot stress how good this place is. The food there is amazing. Me and my girlfriend had Ebi gyoza, takoyaki, chicken katsu curry, fried squid, duck curry, grilled red bean mochi. Every single thing was delicious. I prefer it to Ichiban already. The staff are really friendly there too, you can tell that they love their jobs. The only bad thing was that we were planning on leaving a fiver tip but when we got the bill they had already given us for a service charge, bit cheeky if you ask me.
Yummy!. My boyfriend and I absolutely love Nanakusa. The food is always delicious, and the service is great. I’m a huge fan of the ‘chicken noodle soup’ and my boyfriend loves the sushi. We live much closer to Ichiban and Wagamama, but we prefer to walk that little extra distance to Nanakusa.
Meh. I just didn’t fall in love. Had a few positives – a big menu, decent sushi and reasonable service – but menu seemed to have far too much deep-frying going on, and the seafood noodles didn’t feature much in the way of greenery, and really only the prawns worked (squid was overcooked), and was ultimately rather disappointing. Lighting not great. Won’t be rushing back I’m afraid – with far better alternatives to choose from if I’m in the mood for noodles.
Solid offering. Nankusa has a ridiculously large menu but it means you always feel like something on it. The food is OK – more solid than refined – but it’s always tasty, the restaurant is a nice space and the sake selection is good. A reliable destination at the grim end of Sauchiehall St.
Hmm. It’s ok. just ok – been a few times and always feel a tad disappointed. no discount on take-out either and given it’s overpriced enough already that doesn’t really impress. pity!
Enjoyed sushi and mixed veg tempura for starter. The mains are quite large and filling. Staff were really friendly.
Can’t fathom why you’d go back to Ichiban or Wagamama after eating here! Great food and proper plum wine. Ace!
