Really lovely place. We didn’t go with a booking, but they got us a table for an hour. It’s a fair price, for a great meal. It’s one of these rare restaurants that toes the line between casual and fine dining – it was bubbly and lively, the interior gave it a very Italian feel, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and were juggling the demands of lots of customers very well – we would make a request, the staff would mill around and disappear, we assumed they’d have forgotten, or even not heard us in the room, but then they’d reappear with exactly what we asked for. The food was perfect; good portions, but no compromise on quality. Great scallops, mussels, and king prawns. It was a nice touch that when ordering a bottle of beer, they brought an opened FULL bottle, and a FULL glass of the same beer, like ordering 2. Very pleased.

Stylish and Good Value. Visited this newish venue for their express lunch. The restaurant is dominated by the central counter and has tables around the perimeter. There are also additional tables on the first floor. It has an upmarket feel while still being informal. I had the grilled hake and a tiramisu. Both dishes were well presented and more than acceptable for the price. The atmosphere was a bit flat but I’m certain it would be better in the evenings or week-ends. Well worth a visit and recommended.

The service was perfunctory to say the least. I ordered a rack of lamb. I was told it would be pink. No problem. However it was raw; taken back re butchered and re cooked. I then had to listen to the waiter telling me how he’d been telling the chef for ages to cut the rack up and make it smaller. If you don’t know how to serve it or cook it take it off the menu. Not even ordinary.
