Disappointed. Only twice have I actually failed to finish a steak, only once have I had my complaint completely ignored. I usually find steaks in restraunts disappointing so I avoid ordering them in most places except Guys in Glasgow where the fillet is phenomenal. I thought with their reputation ‘The Sisters’ would be a safe bet…..wrong. If you are charging 24+ for a steak then best employ a chef who can differentiate between well done and rare. I ordered rare and got well done, I asked the amateurish waitress to tell the chef the steak was wrong and that I was not eating it and she removed my plate and no-one ever mentioned it – my complaint was totally ignored, amazing! I certainly won’t be returning and . The scallop and black pudding starter was competently cooked but bland. Pretentious with no atmosphere but not really the fine dining that it maybe thinks it is..

Top notch!. Top quality food, excellent service and ambience. The Sisters is one of my all time favourite places to eat in the city centre. The 3 course lunch is good value for money; this is modern-Scottish food at its best. Try the mussels as a starter and the puff candy meringue for desserts; I could eat that all day!!

A Glasgow legend and rightly so. Chicken liver pate and homemade oatcakes followed by Sea bass, hand dived scallops, mash potatoes and buttered kale finished with apple and pear betty with vanilla ice cream – 16.95 honestly I’m not making it up just 16.95.How the Sisters manages to turn out elegantly simple, fresh and all round fantastic food at this price for 3 course is beyond me but they do it consistently and its blooming marvellous. This fantastic value early dinner set menu is not a poor mans mini la carte, the portion sizes are ample and the dishes have the full 360′ attention to detail and flavour. I have not tried the la carte but i can only assume it would be even better.Staff and service at Sisters is very good i cant fault it, the dining area is well lit and inviting, toilets are starting to look a little worn but nothing a lick of paint cant cure.Sister is highly recommended, my advice would be to sample the early dinner menu before commiting yourself to the full fat la carte – you will not be disappointed and you will definently want to come back.

Highly recommend this restaurant. Great food and good service. The surroundings are really cosy. The 5pm deal is fantastic value.
