  Third strike for this place. No recollection of our booking, greasy spanish omelette and courgette fritters (was able to squeeze dripping fat out of them), over cooked calamari, insipid sauces. Not great tapas. There are other tapas places in glasgow i recommend before this place. Really rubbish and expensive experience.07 May, 2011Update from previous review. Food was really nice, nothing to remember but nice, friendly staff and nice surroundings. Pics added. Everything arrived quickly and was enjoyed. Prices are decent too.Couple of negatives – they add 10% automatically as a service charge. Barca staff are really good but it would be nice to have a choice to tip or not. Very cheeky of them to do this I think. Like to award a tip when get good service rather than have it added to my bill automatically. Its also one of the only tapas places I’ve been to where there are no complimentary bread and oils or olives. Nice food, not Glasgow’s best tapas and major points off for adding service automatically and taking the choice from customer. They didn’t do this before on previous visits.Location-wise great and recommend for nice bite to eat.06 Dec, 2009Great location. The menu was decent enough and staff friendly. Food tasted fine, some dishes a little overcooked but no big deal. They automatically put a 10% surcharge on to your bill for service so you will tip wether the service is good or not! This place was fine, nothing fantastic though. Worth a try.

  I wouldn’t recommend this place. There are better tapas restaurants in Glasgow. The food was poorly presented and pretty tasteless. Disappointing.

  Great Tapas!. I loved it and I will go back for sure. We tried lots of dishes, fish, prawns mussels they cost about 4-5 per dish which I think is good value. Paella was 9.95 but lots of it and definetly a highlight and not expensive at all. You can sit on the balcony but we sat inside as the decor is great, quite intimate and fab picture of a bull on the wall (want one for my house!). Go try it, lots of choice and very tasty dishes.

  EMBARRASSING. I visited Barca with my family fpr a birthday celebration.The meal was dreadful.The tortilla was nothing like the tortilla I have had in other tapas bars in both Spain and the UK. Barcas version was more like a plain omelete. I than chose the stew which I was expecting to have been slow cooked melt in the mouth pieces of beef. Unfortunately what I received was a plate of gristle. I complained, was offered a replacement, which I declined. They then took 5 of the bill. WOW I was embarrassed for the waiter who was excited to tell me this.I won’t be back.

  Great food. Can’t understand why anyone would find the food bland. There are so many dishes to choose from to suit all tastes. I really like this restaurant lovely surroundings and good food. I had a party there and was given a special party menu that was fantastic. I’ll definitely be going back!

  Very bland. Thought was overpriced for tapas, dont mind paying 10-20 per head for lunch if its good, fresh, not frozen or cooked with imagination. Too formulaic for me. Food not up to scratch for the price. Maybe if they moved to Merchant City and had less rent to pay would be more of a success.

  Slightly over cooked food but otherwise good and fantastic setting in Princes Square and not Bailieston as the address says lol
