Stopped off here for a quick bite after a day walking by the Caledonian Canal. Wasn’t planning to eat but Stovies were on the menu which I hadn’t had for about 50 years. Simply outstanding – for 10 minutes I was a young boy again
Had a pot of tea and a cheese scone. At £2.75, it was the most expensive cheese scone I have ever had. It was very hard on the outside and the inside tasted more sweet than savoury. Very disappointed.
We only popped in for a coffee and snack. We sat outside and was a most pleasant visit. The staff were friendly and helpful and the prices were very good. Would call back again but it was a one day visit.
Best place for coffee and a great display of cakes. Had the Scottish smoked salmon on sourdough toast that they collected fresh from the fishmonger opposite! Definitely recommend stopping in here.
