Lovely little restaurant. Cozy with a friendly atmosphere. The Market menu is fab value for money. I had smoked mackerel to start and it was delicious. My boyfriend had the Cullen skink and said it was the best he has tasted (bar his Granny’s. I will definitely go back and would recommend to others.

Amateur. Me and my partner went here for our anniversary dinner and were extremely let down, First of all our meal took far to long almost 30 minutes after we ordered, once it arrived my girlfriends supreme of chicken was extremely pink in the centre which is unforgivible given the amount of time it took to cook. Secondly the sides of triple cooked chips we ordered came around 5 min after the mains. All I can say is learn to cook a chicken before you injure someone.

Never Again. When it first opened it was SO good.Today….at lunch the waitress concentrated on setting tables for dinner during lunch service.I had no serviette. The wines we tried 4 were over priced and average quality. The cullen skink tasted of white onion which happened to be soup of the day,and had so little fish or potato. The omelet Arnold Bennet was unfolded with little fish and far to much cheap cheese .Our chips never arrived so we canceled them. I was told the owner was cooking , OH dear.We left quickly.

Nice!!. I love this place as more of a ‘special occasions place’. The restaurant itself is warm and inviting, and the staff are very friendly. The prices are reasonable for the exquisite food you get, and the presentation of it is very impressive too.Love going back here as we’re never disappointed.

I’ve eaten here several times and have been very impressed by the quality and imaginitive combinations of ingredients. Last night however I felt their standards had slipped very badly. Starter of foie gras and pancakes was unbalanced – too much not enough pancake and what was that jelly for? The main course was a disaster. Monkfish had clearly been waiting so long for other dishes on the table to be ready that it was almost cold and had become chewy in parts. If I hadn’t been entertaining somebody – who seemed to enjoy his fillet steak – I would have sent it back. I really hope this was a one off.
