Stay Away !. The service is awful, we were three and a half hours for a main course and coffees ! Had to ask for the bill three times ! The food was ok and with so many choices for places to eat in the west end my advice would be to stay away from this place ! The service was so bad at times it was comical !!!!!
Excellent Service. Been a couple of times to the West End Zizzis and had mixed experiences. Once had to send pasta dish back as it was cold and once the red wine we ordered tasted foul. We also had problems with really slow service but we thought we’d give it another chance last night and am glad we did. Firstly I must say that Colette, the waitress was extremely efficient and is a credit to the place. Give that girl a pay rise! Given that it was just her and one other waiter working, I was prepared for a long wait but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Drinks, starters and mains came without any long delays and she apologised when the bottle of sparkling water wasn’t chilled!Great Primavera Rustica pizza (big enough for 2!) and lovely tasting risotto filled us up completely. One small criticism is that there was hardly any pumpkin in the risotto but overall it was a nice midweek quick meal. The restaurant is a nice environment and completely different (and nicer) to the one in Princes Square.
Starters lovely. Would love to tell you about the mains we ordered but currently still waiting (over 1 hr since we ordered). This would be understandable if the place wasn’t less than half full. Service apart from this? Also not fantastic. They forgot the toddlers order.
Much nicer atmosphere than the one in town, however service was poor. I enjoy spicy food normally but the pizza that I had (although made very well) was so spicy that it ruined all flavour and put me off the rest of the meal. I had high hopes when I arrived but left disappointed.
BEST PIZZA IN GLASGOW. Great Rustic Pizza – you have to try it. Thin, crispy, juicy tomatoes. Sundried tomatoes are bursting with flavour. just the way pizza should be…
Been three times now and although the pizza’s are really good the service is very poor. All three times I’ve been there has been at a wait of at least 25 mins for our main course. Latest visit was a wait of 40 mins! When I spoke to the manager about it she made an embarrassingly poor excuse instead of just saying our order had been missed! Staff and managers seem inexperienced and it can be very hard to get their attention. The food is expensive for what it is and the drink prices are ridiculous – 4.50 for a Jack Daniel’s and coke! Overall good food let down by poor service!
Rubber pizza. If this is an example of Zizzi’s I won’t be visiting any of their other restaurants. Lazy staff who congregate round the bar area ignoring customers. Overcooked pasta. Rubbery pizza. Says it all!!
