  Had mixed experiences with food. First time was really nice but gone down hill in recent visits. Cocktails are really nice and reasonably priced. Needs a few more lights on during the day but deco is such an improvement !

  Food okay, wouldn’t rush back. We ate hear one Friday evening, and enjoyed the wine beforehand, but the food is not great. Firstly, the menu has too many choices, and there is numerous spelling mistakes. Ordered Risotto, but it was served as basmati rice & not risotto rice. Have to say the staff are great, very friendly and helpful. Have heard a lot of reports locally about this place, and the majority of the reports were not good for food.

  Perfect!. I have been in the Courthouse, and all i can say is FABULOUS! I feel the food i had was to a high standard. I had Chicken Liver Pate which was absoulutley to die for, I also had Gnochi for a change, and that was delicous! For desert i had Banoffee pie, which i was soo glad to order it as it was GREAT! All the staff were so attentive, helpful and pleasant. i would defonately go back to The Courthouse and try other stuff on the menu. If you havent been to the Courthouse yet, then i would get yourselves down there and try out their wonderful food!!!

  Just what Peebles needed. Having spent 25 years of my life scouring towns, cities and countries for places to eat/hold functions, I have finally found something a bit special in the Scottish Borders. From the lovely upto date decor, very pleasant staff, extensive beer garden, view, friendly staff and not to mention the wonderful menu, which caters for everyone, from your tiny child to very fussy grandparent and everyone in between!I have eaten here several times now, during the week, at the weekend and also at a function. The food was very fresh and of excellent quality. The chef, having spoken with him, is keen to make sure you get exactly what you want, so if you have something in mind, talk with him – Sirus I think his name is.I have eaten in many places in Peebles for many years, being a regular there, I now have a choice of two, the other having won a Michelin (the tyre people!) award.You will find this fabulous place right at the end of the high street, on the roundabout, upstairs, check it out, its a must!Enjoy!!!

  You havin a laugh. The menu is a mish mash of everything,tapas,pasta,haggis,kebabs??,nachos,firstly i didnt complain about anything under instruction of the wife, and i have over 20 yrs experiance as a chef,we ordered 3 tapas, haggis balls 6.95 ouch served withROCKET and NO whisky sauce i was under instruction not to complain,bbq chicken wings looked and tasted like a poor kentucky frozen product straight from brakes with no sighn of bbq anywhere ? 6.25 not cheap for 5 also served with ROCKET.homemade pate that also tasted nasty bought stuff rough,bitter only good thing about it was it was in a small bullet ramekin so wasnt much of it 4.95 if it is homemade can i suggest you use a better recipe.Mains wife had the burger afraid she wasnt all shook up more like fed up and i had tiger pawn in garlicon a bed of ROCKET no sweet taste of prawn or hint of garlic tasted like the pan was a bit to hot and the chef flambed them which gave them a nasty flavour again i didnt complain ,staff were very young and pleasant but not very knowledgable when it came to the menu but as i say the menus all over the place,restaurant very cold wife had to ask for her jacket back,STOP with the rocket ,keep it simple but nice, just trying to please everyone but these two diners werent impressed and will not be back
