Christmas Day meal. My father paid for over 350 for a family meal for 12. The food was mediocre and instead of bringing all of the meal to the table at one time, food to go with the meal was still arriving as we were almost finished. When I noticed dad hadn’t eaten his steak, on examination it was charred black on both sides and was hard as leather. He didn’t want to make a fuss, so said nothing. I reported the steak and as dad isn’t keen on chinese food, we ordered steamed fish. This was meant to take 10 mins but took over half an hour to be served. The whole day was ruined! When my sister (who works in the catering trade) spoke to the manageress in a reasonable tone, she was answered by a voluble arrogant woman who denied any of the food was bad. We did not tip and as the money was paid upfront, we were charged the full price. I would not visit this restaurant again if it was the last one on earth!

Everyone is like family. This restaurant is a superb place to be! Very good service and friendly staff. I liked how they didn’t just ‘do their job’ but went a further mile to ensure that my husband and I had a pleasant dining experience. It’s not the most spacious of restaurants but the atmosphere was very relaxing and cosy. The plates were nice and hot and our glasses of wine were never empty. On top of this, the food was great and my prawns were absolutely gorgeous. People coming in for a meal seemed to know all the staff by name and the staff also knew most of them by name. It’s safe to say that this restaurant is very good at retaining its customers and I can see why. We will be back again.
Consistently great. I have lived in eaglesham all my life and the peking village has been around for many years. Their king prawns are top class: juicy and succulent. I order their curry all the time and I can’t find anything else that matches up to it. It’s definitely not just me who feels this way; whenever I’m in the restaurant, most people ordering a carry-out will ask for their curry as well. I only say this because i’ve noticed someone saying it was disappointing. I personally love their curry and I think it deserves much more credit than that.
Angela. Got a take away from the peking village and was completly disappointed. The curry was cold the beef was tastless and chewy. We got spring rolls that were tasty but they were 2 tiny ones for 3.50 complete rip of. The rice was not seperate and fried well it was sticky and tastless. The peking village is taking advantage of the fact its the only one in the illage and ripping people off I will not be going back
