I had been out on a long walk today and was in need of a sit down and a nice coffee. I was walking up Leith Walk and Embo looked inviting, so I decided to pop in and I’m glad I did.The staff were welcoming and the coffee was excellent, so good I had to have a second cup. The food menu looked interesting but as I wasn’t hungry I didn’t partake.I probably sat at the window for the best part of an hour enjoying a lovely cup of coffee and watching the world go by on Leith Walk outside.A great little coffe shop.
Wasnt impressed. I was told to go here by a friend who raves about the place as they offer gluten free options. I decided to pop in one lunch time and have a look. I asked it they had any gluten free bread not today was the response I got. They didnt offer me any alternatives for example a salad box? Was advised they have Gluten free brownies but these where on the counter uncovered next to scones .. filled with gluten! I didnt trust these not to be contaminated. Wasnt very impressed and didnt get the feeling they were very knowledgeable about the gluten free living especially when being a Coeliac.
