Although the food was ok, the waitress was awful. When the food came she had no clue as to what was what and everything seemed to be a problem. The worst part was we had around 15 change which she didn’t bring back to as she assumed that it was her tip and didn’t look pleased when I asked where my change was! Even though the food was nice I would not return as I thought the service was awful.
Lovely. We ate here last night. The place is small but perfectly formed. A really nice relaxed atmosphere, a nice change from the bigger places.The staff were really friendly and attentive, really couldn’t do enough. There was a nice intimate feel when we were in – something you would never expect in Royal Exchange Square. It was a sunny day but by 7pm it was getting a bit chilly. Some people were cold and asked to be moved so I think they need to think about closing the door a little earlier in the night.The food was lovely. Fresh and tasty. We were both very happy with what we had and agreed we would definitely go back. Dishes are a pound or two more expensive than most other places but you really get decent sized portions. We had 2 starters, 2 mains and a bottle of wine for just shy of 60 which, adding in the lovely atmosphere and great staff, was good going.
