What a treat – it seems on entering to be far from the maddening crowd. We were there for light lunch with my in-laws .. and they were delighted! We had the tea for two – which included fresh sandwiches with a choice of filling – I had egg mayo on the freshest white bread just as I remember having as a child .. There were also scones with cream and jam, rated delicious by my mother-in-law, meringues, cakes & empire biscuits (my father-in-law are ALL of them) with Scottish tea – definitely enough for two. It is quite crowded so worth booking, and appears to be frequented by the young, glamorous, Grans & mums with their little ones – what a brilliant spot for an afternoon tea or light lunch – their breakfast menu looked good too ! Service was excellent and looks like a family affair – with extra care for my in-laws which was lovely.
