This traditional styled pie shop was recommended to me by a cabbie. The place is separated quaintly into two rooms that you access from the outside. The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful and the only sounds are the other diners, which I very much like. The staff was super lovely, we even had a nice chat as it was pretty slow at the time. It felt very homely! The food was also just wonderful. Everything is made to order, which may take a bit longer but it’s worth it. If you want to try the traditional pie and mash, this is the place to be if you’re around Grassmarket, or even a bit further.
