One of the joys of Edinburgh is that it is a great place to wander, sample and enjoy.Been to a show with family at the Festival Theatre and wandering back to our hotel off the Royal Mile. We just fancied a night cap and stumbled upon this pub.Great atmosphere, great staff and very quirky decor. Loved it!Will have to go back and give it some more time and try the food too.
Been a big fan of this place since the start of my uni days. Really fun, quirky atmosphere and nice drinks. I really like the raspberry Moscow mules! Gets very busy so I’d recommend going early ish. waterpainteddreams.com
Any bar that has a room full of beds in it will always be a winner for me. Being able to lie down and relax whilst sipping on a gin is a pretty good combination. It can get quite busy during the weekends so if you want to grab a space on the beds, you need to get in pretty early. I’ve actually not yet tried the food in here but last time I was in, I did notice the sandwiches looked pretty tasty so I will have to go back in for a quite bite to eat for lunch. frankly-ms-shankly.blogspot.com
