So this place feels a little dingy, but the food is still good. The pulled pork was fine, but a tad dry. The highlight of the meal was definitely the chips (fries); they were some of the best I’ve had anywhere.
Loved this place. I had a pulled pork tub and my husband had the pulled brisket roll. We had 2 sides – rosemary salt fries and veg haggis. All were yummy. A special mention for the sauces. The irn bru one was amazing on the pork and the whisky jerk went so well with the haggis. I will be returning here soon!
My good friend the internet once told me the human body is 83% water, far too much if you ask me. If you feel like properly adjusting your meat:water ratio then I would suggest visiting Reekie’s smokehouse. If you consider yourself a fan of ripping an animals flesh from its bones with your bare teeth then I can heartily recommend Reekie’s to anyone, the ribs were divine and there wasn’t a single green in sight. Are you someone with a carnivorous disposition? If the answer is yes then you really should visit Reekie’s.
I came here couple of weeks ago for lunch with 3 other friends. We had a Meatfeast and I must say it was a hell of a feast! I loved every bit of it! We had pulled pork, bbq beef brisket, ribs and burnt ends. They were all cooked to perfection! We ordered pickles, veggie haggis, beans and fries for sides and they were all great. The only thing I missed was a little bit more vegetables but that’s just my opinion. As it’s a Smokehouse I don’t expect salad on the menu. However, pickles were not enough for me. Fries are amazing here and service lovely! It’s a great value for money and I wil for sure come back! This is a great hangover food as well! I can definitely recommend for all carnivores out there!
Dropped in here with a big group for lunch and what a lunch it was! 30 got us enough of a meat feast to fill our foursome. We sampled a number of things – my top tip would be to grab a bit of everything and mix it up with some of the beans and chips and the idyllic Irn Bru BBQ sauce – simply divine. With marvelous meat apparently on the rise in the food scene at the moment, it’s good to see someone doing it with some flair at an extraordinarily reasonable price, welcoming bairns young and old to sample their wares. A fine feast.
Fantastic! This full meat Scottish bbq restaurant was an absolute delight. My husband and I ordered two meat tubs (pork ribs and the beef brisket) along with some fries sprinkled with meat dust. Even the baked beans served along with the meal had meat! Both the pork and the beef were cooked to perfection, very succulent with just the right amount of seasoning. The restaurant also had its own variety of home made sauces that were absolutely, yummy! With no place left in our stomachs we greedily packed back a marshmallows brownie and that too was very tasty! All in all a great experience, but definitely go there when you have an appetite, it’s not a light meal 🙂
