A grotty looking bar on the inside is rarely the opposite inside. This is the case with The Captains Bar, because inside is probably as clean as a ship which has been at sea for the best part of a year.The confined space means that seating is extremely limited, even more so when a motley crew of musicians who are deeply involved in performing a sea shanty until their fingers fall off.The range of beer is not of the highest level, neither too is their quality of beer line with the lines needing a serious cleaning. The beers tasted off, which either indicates a dodgy keg or that the lines are cleaned infrequently.A poor bar, but obviously only caters for certain customers. Unfortunately those customers must only exist in the fantasy tale Treasure Island.
