I can’t offer a review on food as I only visited for a drink before the Scotland v Wales 6 nations fixture. The place was heaving, as you would expect on match day, but the staff were polite, and the prices reasonable.I would like to visit on a different occasion and try food.
Visited this oldest pub in Edinburgh on my last day of the Scotland trip. Ahh a lot of memories.It is not like any other student’s pub in this old town lane. The crowd was not touristy. The place had that charm. There was great live music.The drinks were very good. Also tried Edinburgh’s gin here, absolutely loved it. They claim to serve the perfect gin and tonic- can’t disagree.Made friends with a gang of local ladies, had a great time (Tequila shots :p )When in Edinburgh, do visit this pub!
