Only been there for drinks after work (as it’s quite close to my office) but really liked the ambience and vibe of the whole place. Service was good, music was lovely and it felt very cosy and relaxed at all times. Honestly, a really good spot for an afterwork catch-up madaboutravel.com

I came here for drinks last night for the first time and really liked the ambience and the vibe. Service was lovely and very quick. The only downside was that they run out of Peroni and had only Carling and Heineken from lagers on tap. I’ll come again to try their food or just have more drinks.

I really like this cocktail bar! The location is cool and not too small, cocktails are amazing and not too expensive, my favourite is the red stag! Perfect for a drink and a good chat with friends! themeneghingirl.blogspot.com

I have yet to actually try the food at the Villager as I normally tend to pop in when I am looking for a cheeky cocktail or two. I’ve always been quite a fan of The Villager and spent many a night trying out the wonderful drinks on offer. The Banoffee Martini is up there with one of my favourite cocktails in Edinburgh (alas I am lacking a picture of one though…). It’s more like a dessert rather than a refreshing drink. Personally, price wise, I think the cocktails here are what you expect from a bar in town. You couldn’t exactly spend a whole night in there unless you want your wallet to be unhappy with you but it is a great wee place to stop by for an unusual and tasty drink. frankly-ms-shankly.blogspot.com

Amazing old style restaurant with the best fish and chips in town!! Infused water that is provided also adds to incredible vibe of the restaurant.

Smashing cocktails, slightly pricy but the choice leaves you deciding for ages, so worth it though, have the money and want to impress, i recommend this place, nice feed well displayed yet again slightly on the upper side, perfect for a romantic or long catch up meet. Dark and gloom like lighting which makes the atmosphereinviting for the scene. thepunkrockprincess.com
