The Orangery restaurant at The Old Manse of Blair. This is a relaxed atmosphere, artisan coffee and local beers and delicious locally sourced food from chef Jonathan Greer, formerly of Gleneagles Hotel. Recently awarded five stars restaurant and rooms status by Visit Scotland. This is a fresh new foodie destination in the Cairngorms National Park. Free parking on site and close to House of Bruar and Blair Castle moments from the main A9 route and a great central location when travelling through the heart of Scotland. I was over in Scotland for Christmas visiting family in Edinburgh and we came through to House of Bruar. This restaurant was perfect, it’s round the corner. Loved the decor, it’s incredibly friendly and the food is superb. I’d highly recommend
A magnificent meal, all the dishes were of excellent quality and beautifully presented. Scallop starter was delicious. Service was good and portions the right size (not miniscule and fussy). Good value, great venue.
We visited as a group of four friends catching up. Our food was delicious, the surroundings were very sophisticated and the service perfect. It was a real change to the usual dining experience available in the area. I’ll most definitely be back!
We have just returned from a truly delightful stay at this establishment. So peaceful, restful, and with excellent food and wines, all combined to make a memorable short break for my wife and me.
Wonderful family dinner while we stayed at the Old Manse of Blair hotel. Service was friendly and relaxed, wine was great and food fantastic. And they catered so well to our 2 daughters. This is relaxed fine dining and great menu selection. Fabulous
