  Great atmosphere when international matches are playing on the big screens. Booths with the personal TVs go quick and it can be difficult to get a seat but the drinks are reasonably priced. The food is decent with very generous portions and well priced too. I thoroughly enjoy sharing a combo starter from 7kings.

  Awful microwave junk. Avoid eating here at all costs if you have any wish to eat tasty food. This is reheated rubbish and totally bland.19 Dec, 2011Dont eat here even if you are starving. bland microwave rubbish devoid of any taste.

  Gone downhill. We visited Dunfermline in ’08 and ’09 and frequented this restaurant a lot. Great food, location and reasonably priced. We moved here in June this year, and were very shocked when we went back. My husbands salmon was way overcooked and the vegies were reheated frozen crap. A few weeks later we went back for breakfast. Ten minutes after ordering drinks, my husband had to go up to the waitress, who was chatting up at the bar, and ask her if we could have our drinks. The place was empty. When we got our breakfast, the scrambled eggs were watery, which I told the waitress when she came by. She said they had probably microwaved them, but that makes things dry, not watery! We contacted a manager by email, and asked what had changed in the last year, was there a new chef? and he said no. We said we were never coming back again and he sent us a voucher and said he promised it would be better next time. We left it a month, went in one quiet night, sat down and waited ages before a waitress came over and took our drinks order. When she came back, 5 minutes later, we ordered our meals. Ten minutes later, we finished our drinks, but could not see the waitress anywhere. My husband showed the waitress behind the bar his empty glass, she looked, then went back to talking to someone. We waited for 10 more minutes, there were 5 tables of people and a couple of people at the bar, those seated were eating, where was our food? We went up and asked to speak to the manager, he wasn’t the one who sent us a voucher, and explained to him what had happened. We gave him the voucher and said we didn’t want it. We contacted the original manager later on and let him know what had happened, he admitted he had had a similar complaint, and invited back the following week when he was on. No thanks! We are done. 47 minutes from sitting down, to leaving and only had one drink each. Such a shame, a nice location, but crap staff and service. SACK THE LAZY SODS!!

  Headless Chickens. Although The Seven Kings is fine if you want a cheap bite to eat during the day, the service in the evening is appauling. Many bar staff on running around like headless chickens. I have seen people being served the wrong drinks then being charged the wrong price despite drinks being on offer price. This added to the overall terrible queue experience. Although you may have been standing for 25 minutes it is like a bar queue lottery – the idea being the staff just serving random people who have just approached the bar and not the people who have been standing for ages. Ok if you want a night out similar to the Cowdenbeath market butcher stall. If you want served within 30 minutes – don’t try here.
