It’s not exactly cheap, and on a student budget you’ll probably think twice before paying 6.50 for a soup and a filled bagel. However, they are both tasty and fresh.

Calling all bagel lovers :oD You must come here if you enjoy a good tasty bagel! I came here to study for a bit last week. Boring me, i only ordered a cup of tea but the smell of warm bagels was just too good.I love how they have a lot of variety, from sweet to savoury. The pricing is also decent! What i love most is the decoration! The name elephants and bagels is perfect since they have tons of drawings of elephants ? This cafe is a very homely cafe, one can come and just chill comfortably. There were people studying, friends just chatting and also mummies with their children. Perfect for everybody! obsessionmuch.wordpress.com

This is one of my favourite sandwich shops to go to, it is right out the back of George Square, so perfect for lunch breaks at uni. The choice of fillings and bagels is huge, and can be difficult to choose from. The staff here are so friendly and even offer more choices than that on the menu. Its perfect for a take out meal, or to sit in. I prefer to sit in because the shop is decorated so nicely- with customer drawings of elephants and bagels filling the walls of the small room, it can be quite funny looking at the pictures, from drawings by kids to some artistic pieces. It’s very reasonably priced for the bagel, which is toasted and very filling. underthescottishrain.blogspot.com

What a disappointment. I have had two very disappointing visits to this establishment. The only positive remark would be that the dcor is different and certainly keeps you entertained. However the tea tasted like milky water and the staff members most definitely need some sort of customer service training as their methods with dealing with negative comments should be to accept and improve the situation not proceed to laugh in the customer’s face and then walk away. The management should be ashamed of themselves, as they were not much help either. As I work in the travel industry, I often advice tourists on places to visit while in Edinburgh, I can guarantee that the Elephants and Bagel will most certainly not be one of them.
