Best curry in town…… What a hidden gem. Insanely cheap food; incredibly polite welcome and an attentive gentleman serving the food. Don’t miss out before they get too popular!
We visited there on friend’s recommendation. The food was amazing especially Haleem and Nihari were delicious and inexpensive with friendly service, totally worth it. would definitively make a return visit.
How many Earthly pleasures are greater than a plate of good, cheap, belly-warming, filling, energy-filled, tasty food on a cold and sharp January afternoon? I can only think of aroung 8 or 9, certainly no more than 16 and most of those don’t bear writing about in a food blog.Marhaba’s serves up just that, wafting an aroma of quaint charm and seasoning with friendly cheer. Chicken biryani is not something I’d tried previously, but it has to be just about the perfect quick snack for a cold day’s lunchtime. A decent enough haunt for Edinburgh Uni’s skintest students, Marhaba Kitchen serves up just what their mums back home hope they’re enjoying in between early hand-ins and late-night libations – a good solid meal, covering most corners of the food triangle for less than the price of a pint. The kitchen is opposite the PearTree and nestled amongst a number of nifty delis – the cutting edge of Edinburgh’s quick bites qafes. ([sic]-Enforced alliteration) The bonus here is that this spot is open beyond the majority’s post-lunch siesta, so caters for those who often wake up mid-afternoon after a particularly heavy night.Sweet spot – I’d go again.
Excellent food at great prices. The food is excellent, and inexpensive. So much easier and cheaper than cooking. I am a regular customer now
Tasty delicious and cheap.. When i have no time to cook, i often buy lunch from here. The food is delicious, i like the chicken curry and lamb curry. Both have the same price, 3,99 pound. Which quite hard to find with such prize here
Wow….. an exceptionally cheap, very tasty meal. Strapped for cash looking for a byob restaurant!!! stumbled across this instead… ok its not licenced, but it was a cheap alternative, we … my friend and I, had a chicken curry, (v.v. tasty) a lamb cury(v. good, but not alot of meat on the bone), served with rice, and a naan on the side, with a portion of aloo gobi, (spinach n potato), and a portion of milk tablet to finish……. 12…. not each … in total!!!!!!! fabulous service, just nice….. Thankyou… we will be back….
