Great food, vibe and food was excellent the taste of the food was really good the spices , portions great and I recommend this restaurant! Service was great and the location too
Some of the best Indian food I have ever eaten. Came 5 years ago, and when I learned I would be returning to Glasgow this was the first thing I put on my to-do list. Service also excellent (although for this food, I’d tolerate just about any level of service.)They have a cookbook for 20 – I bought a copy and can’t wait to try this at home!
A great experience. 4-5 plates between 2 people is ample and you’ll be feeling spoilt for choice given the variety on the menu. Everything was so tasty and it was clear this was Indian food done right. Great value for money and highly recommended.
In my opinion its the best indian food in glasgow by a mile..
One year on from my last visit (Birthday) we again queued to get in and again it was worth it. Fantastic food, fantastic service, fantastic. My favourite Indian in Glasgow. Leads the way31 Aug, 2012Queued to get in tonight and again, was not disappointed. Nice food, lively atmosphere. Both me and my wife thought all the dishes were tasty, especially the Chicken with ginger and spinach. All round well worth a visit or 324 Feb, 2012Had to queue to get in and it was worth every minute of cold. There was a great menu to choose from, almost too much choice. When the food did come it was beautiful, great sized portions which tasted unbelievably good. Starters, 4 Thalli dishes and desserts were amazing value. Nice place, nice atmosphere and amazingly tasty food. If you’re passing and see the queue join on the end, it will make sense when you get a table.
MOTHER WONDERFUL!. I am not easily impressed (see other reviews) but every time I have been here (as well as its other restaurants) the food has been delicious and the service wonderful. I don’t eat meat but the fish and vegetarian dishes are always perfectly cooked and infused with interesting and well balanced flavours. One of the best in Glasgow by far. You can tell that most ingredients are fresh – don’t start making shortcuts Mother India, you really can tell!
Natty is soooo disappointed. I was so anxious to try this restaurant but I have been severely mistaken. The menu was all but threw at us and the food was bland at best. Give the fish pakora it’s dues, it was lovely but everything else just fell below the mark for us. I am not by any means on a hate mission and I’d say all but maybe 2 of the 60 restaurants I’ve reviewed are positive but I really didn’t get this place. Service was poor food was mediocre so all in all I’d say thumbs down.
