Popped in on our last day in Edinburgh and wished we had found this place earlier. I felt like we were back in Spain. I did a tasting of 2 sherries which were accompanied by some olives and were both delicious (Manzanilla and Olorosso). My husband had a bottle of Spanish beer aged in sherry casks which he also enjoyed.Hope to visit again one day to sample some of the freshly carved Iberian ham.
For lunch I had an Iberian Acorn ham sandwich (made with artisan bread, EVOO and tomato rub) and a glass of Cava. The produce is impeccably sourced and of high quality in this family run delicatessen. The various legs hang behind the counter and/or sit on stands ready to be carved on demand. The staff are knowledgeable and happy to discuss the products. It was awful weather when I visited and Goya 23 moved a heater to help dry out the rain and warm me up. That’s what I call good service. Very impressed.
