Visited this diner today. The food was fairly average but the waiting staff were really lovely and attentive, and I generally enjoyed the experience up until the end when the manageress who opted to tell me off for not finishing my food.I had ordered a sandwich but what came was a whole white baguette. I decided to eat around the baguette and just enjoy the filling and the chips that came with it. When the manageress came over to clear the plates she told me that it was wasteful that I hadn’t eaten the baguette and snippy and rude.I would not recommend this cafe. Edinburgh has lots of really lovely establishments, go to one of those instead.
Hmmmm, not overly impressed with my first visit. Food very ‘average’. I opted for the Philadelphia, omelette with minute steak, fried onions, salad & toast. After a long wait, which I don’t mind for fresh prepared food, I was disappointed. My partner had the Philly Steak Sandwich, very little steak, and the fries were tasteless. We will visit again to sample the sweets.
