It’s definitely an eclectic place in my opinion. Nice coffee and cakes. I always associate the grassmarket with pubs and bars so won’t necessary go out of my way to come here for coffee and cake. But good alternative if you’re staying nearby. Staff always seem rushed off their feet and place is always busy. However that said I’ve never been turned away yet.
Great coffee and cake, reasonably priced and service with a smile. That’s all you need to know. Will definitely be back and highly recommended.

I simply loved the cafe – from the interior to the staff who were just super friendly!After a long time deliberating, I finally decided on a slice of sweet potato and marshmallow cake, chocolate and lavender cake, and cream cheese brownie. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the time to have the cakes in, but they were still really good when I ate them at home.Absolutely adored the sweet potato and marshmallow cake, and the cream cheese brownie was great too. I really liked the chocolate and lavender cake too, but felt the lavender was a little bit on the heavy side for my liking.
Love Crumbs serves a fantastic selection of cakes, pastries and speciality teas in a very cosy setting. I am a sucker for anywhere that does sofas and comfy seating and so this place automatically won extra points for just that. I also like choice when it comes to drink – I’m not a strict coffee or tea person and I like variety. I was impressed by the selection of teas of offer at Love Crumbs. The cakes looked amazing too and mine was freshly baked and beautiful. A great hangout place if you are in the Old Town area. quirkylifestyle.com
