Good food and even better staff. The price is reasonable, and I would recommend chicken couscous! The cakes and biscuits also look yummy but we didnt have a chance to try. Will go next time for desserts.
Very friendly and polite staff, we received a warm welcome. The food is a reasonable price for Edinburgh and good quality. I had the chicken pesto wrap and a latte, which was very good. The decor is quite traditional British (think 70s patterned China), but nicely put together. The place had plugs, wi-fi but was, I think, unfairly empty. I would very much recommend eating or getting coffee here.

The super friendly staff of The Coffee Mill always welcome you with a smile and top service. This simple cafe is quite a gem and has probably the best carrot cake in town. If you are in the Grassmarket area and feeling hungry, escape all the touristy places and check it out to be rewarded with yummy food and a fantastic service. madaboutravel.com
