A pub which is on my walk home from one of my jobs, and a good stop off for a quick refreshment. The decor of cycling equipment is a novel idea, and is linked with the Tourmalet which is in Leith and both are named after summits in the Tour de France race.The rare bottled beers from Germany are usually delectable, but some can murder your taste buds for the evening, especially the very smoky beer, which I can’t remember how to spell.There is however, a distinct lack of atmosphere about the bar, which kills off any good vibes. I have been in with friends, and there is something just missing from this bar. The staff are all knowledgeable when it comes to the products, even the rarest beers from microbrewers in deepest, darkest Bavaria. A good pub, but unfortunately, not a great one.
