I saw a beautiful dress online at Barbour’s – and it was still available in my size in the store. It had red floral patterns in it so perfect for our Ruby anniversary. Got to the store and there were none.
No visit to Dumfries is complete without a visit to Barbours. What I love about it is the old style service and the independent status. You have the opportunity of buying different merchandise from the chain stores.
Quite an old fashioned but charming cafe/restaurant in the lovely department store. Lots of breakfast choices then lunch time mains for about £6, plus snack choices too. Plenty scones, cakes and puddings to choose from. Excellent value.
Good value cafe with a wide choice of snacks well cooked and presented. Good place to meet friends. No music playing so you can have a conversation!
