We visited for my husbands 30th birthday. On the day, we didn’t know where we would go to eat and after a bit of googling, we found Kyloe, so thought we’d take a walk down to see if there was a table free. Luckily for us, there was one table left. If we were to visit again, I would definitely book a table as I’m really glad we didn’t miss out on this experience. The food was incredible, the staff were attentive and welcoming. I think our waiters name was Gavin and he couldn’t do more to help us. We both ordered the steak of the week and then shared the sharing dessert for two, both of which I would highly recommend.
Very pleased with Kyloe. Really enjoyed our meal at lunch today. The service was up to the standard. I have yet to try their steaks but no doubt I will be making another reservation there in a very near future.
This was my second time at Kyloe and I wasn’t disappointed. They do a Sunday roast deal – 100 for a roast dinner with all the trimmings which fed 4 of us – the beef is carved in front of you and the sides are delicious. Creamed cabbage, roast veg and potatoes…all absolutely amazing! The desert was a toffee apple pie and custard…honestly the best custard I’ve ever tasted and the pie was unbelievable! We ordered some wine for the table as well….this is one of the best eating experiences in Edinburgh – I couldn’t recommend it more
Very poor service. We arrived about 8.20pm and were advised that we had a 20 minute wait. We grabbed drink from the bar and after 40 minutes and asked again if we could go to the restaurant. The waitress advised us that she would check the manager (I’m not buying a car!!) and came back to announce that she (or he) couldn’t give us a seat and would have to wait longer. Firstly, I was advised 20 minutes to eat and after 40 minutes, I am told to wait longer for an undefined period. Secondly, I am expected to keep buying drinks when in fact I am hungry. A little honesty goes a long way. They are obviously planning on making money from drinks not from food.
