This is a nice bar for when you want to chill and have couple of drinks. It’s usually quite empty in the evening until around 11pm when people start arriving. There is live music, usually someone playing a piano and singing and people tend to dance after midnight. There is no entrance which is an advantage and it’s opened until 3am. If you don’t know where to go after a boozy dinner, try The Rat Pack.
The rat pack always seems to be a popular choice when out with my work colleagues. Probably because it is so close to where I work at the west end. They do some great cocktails and after a few the man on the piano is quite entertaining. I always find myself getting up for a dance at some point. I would only recommend this place if you were looking for a quiet drink but not if you are looking for somewhere with a more lively atmosphere.
I came here last night on a Saturday for the first time purely on a whim. I’ve always walked past the Rat Pack bar and I’ve never really understood the appeal until now. I completely underestimated the company.The staff are really friendly with a great aymosphere,the live music they hold on a Saturday night is full of raw talent and the extensive cocktails and drinks menu is to die for, along with very reasonable prices which makes it the perfect bar to go to whether it may be a small gathering of friends, a work night out, a classic date or even just a night out with some of the family. kirstyemanuel.wordpress.com
Never been inside but always wanted to. The rat pack are the best and the music and bar look cool so hopefully will get inside one day
