The Crown and Kitchen was taken over by current owner Billy Robertson in 2013. The site, which had been a bar for many generations, lay closed, and Billy and his family poured time and effort into transforming it to a vibrant, friendly, welcoming establishment. The Crown and Kitchen have dedicated their entire food service around locally sourced ingredients. At The Crown and Kitchen you will find a core menu with classic dishes such as fish and chip and beef brisket with black pudding Stovies. The chefs really get to shine through the specials menu which changes daily, depending on what local ingredients they source. While they stock a wide range of Scottish Ales and craft lager they also have a large selection of single malt whiskeys and gins. There is no better place to relax and unwind after a long day, than to sit in front of the real open fireplaces in the winter, or soak up the sun in the summer months in the outside courtyard.
