Gorwelion, developed from old farm buildings in 2008, has an excellent cafe, shop and a Soft Play Barn. It is a good starting place for visitors to the area with tourist information and friendly staff who can tell you everything about the area. The buildings look out over open countryside and the grounds are a great place for children to run about around the lawns and banks and another outdoor play ground for the smaller ones. The giant chairs are an obvious photo opportunity for the family! Situated just on the outskirts of Bala you can easily walk into town from the free carpark. There are also walks from Gorwelion into the surrounding countryside suggested by leaflets on offer in the information area. Gorwelion is run by Toby and Stephanie who also own Caerau Gardens 4 miles east and their home made food has a great reputation using locally sourced ingredients , delicious burgers and the best hand cut chips!
