About
Long before man needed a room for the night and TV on demand, he needed food and drink. Not just any old grub & grog though. At Base + Barley, we've taken two old staples back to their roots. Our pizzas could hold their own in the back yards of Napoli. It's all about the base. We prep our sourdough the day (not the night) before. And before you ask, it doesn't go off. It goes up...thanks to the finest grade 00 flour. It's so soft you could sleep on it. Our beer is up there too. Hand-brewed in small batches by local yeast gods who love their barley and hops like their own mother. This homespun process gives our beer a frisky smack that'll bring your tastebuds back from the brink. We are here to satisfy hunger and thirst. We love all stomachs, young or old, small or huge, fussy or anything goes.Details

Been here a couple of times and is a great non-chain place for a coffee or a wine or a cocktail. Does the day to night thing better than a Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dress.
Nice surroundings and relaxing atmosphere in the early evening. The pizzas we ordered were quite tasty but did take a while to arrive at the table and were expensive for the size.
Really enjoyed our visit nice quirky place until it got to about 10pm and they started closing the bar around us. Would have stayed for another drink but felt pressured to leave!
