This is my second visit. I don’t think there will be a third. Like many places, the staff aren’t well informed or trained, the menu is misspelt and not as imaginative as initially thought. There’s more staff tonight but none of them really seem to know much about their trade. I know it might be wrong to compare but, go to Le Manoir or Le Gavroche and the staff know everything about the menu. Come to that, go to McDonalds and the same thing is true. This is what being a server is all about. It’s a level playing field in this respect and training staff is something everyone can do. I had scampi to start and it was delicious. A tad salty but nice. My dining partner ordered the langoustine Thermidor which, I’m told, was also delicious. Food 1 Service -1 so far. Main course much better. There’s a sirloin which was better than my last trip. Steak was excellent but again, service was patchy and frankly I don’t think the staff know much.
