This was my first visit to a James Italian and I was disapointed buy the uninspired menu.I found the food very boring and the same as any other bog standard high street ‘Italian’ chain restaurant.
Jamie’s Italian is an nyc restaurant in town i was there with my friends and tried many foods first time i eat crispy squid the Jammie’s Italian burger and ultimate garlic bread and crunchy Italian nachos all the food was delicious
You know what you are going to get with a Jamie Oliver restaurant and we were not disappointed on our recent visit there.Great food, a menu with an extensive range that made choices very difficult. The kids menu was great, and all the entertainment that came along with the kids menu too. It kept our daughter occupied and she couldn;t wait for her lunch after ‘seeing’ her food in the view-finder.I opted for the pork and fennel pasta, my wife the spag. bol. and our daughter opted for the meatballs pasta. We also got a side order of sweet potato fries. All food was perfect, no complaints, great fresh produce. We went in with high expectations, but were not disappointed.
No matter how often or in what UK city you are in if there is a Jamie’s Italian you know that you are going to have good food, excellent service and a great atmosphere.Always popular even on a Tuesday evening. The staff are very efficient and will seat you as quickly as possible. The waiter service is good with recommendations if you are unsure about your selection. The food is very good and the burger which seems a sin to order in an Italian restaurant packed with flavour. Good value for money and once again a very pleasurable dining experience.
We got there for lunch, a quick one as we were visiting the city and didn’t want to stay long in a restaurant. We all had salad: the one with avocado and quinoa was delicious! We were treated with a choice of breads and the whole atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. Our waitress, Sophie, was knowledgeable and really friendly. Well done!
We had a late lunch here.Service – Good.Starters – Good.Main Course – Good.Price – Not too expensive. One of our memorable places in UK. We enjoyed the food. Fresh, Tasty – unlike normal British food, satisfying.
Very disappointing first time visit for a wedding anniversary meal. Ordered tomato, basil and mozarella starter which was tasty but 3 tiny pieces of mozarella seemed rather pitiful given the price. The dressing was tasty but tomatoes were crunchy supermarket salad fare – not even vine tomatoes – not what you’d expect from a place trading on jamie’s name. We weren’t offered any bread to go with the starters and pricy bottled beer was barely chilled. Main course pasta dish was spicy salami rigatoni. Pasta was undercooked (chalky, not simply al dente) and the sauce was flat and 1 dimensional (ie strong tomato flavour with not much else). Not much evidence of spicy sausage either. Could do so much better at home which is precisely the opposite of what you expect when you go somewhere like this! My wife ordered crab spaghetoni which was equally disappointing. We did point out how underwhelmed we were with our food and to be fair to the staff they were apologetic and kindly gave us a complimentary dessert. Overall tho a real disappointment primarily on the food front and will spend the money on a nice bottle of wine next time and cook decent pasta at home!
