Very poor service. I had heard of this restaurant and had wanted to visit for many years. I suspect that this desire must have had something to do with assuming that price equates to quality. Unfortunately in the case of Topo Gigio this is not the case. I visited Topo Gigio with a group of approximately fifteen friends. Despite booking the restaurant at least a month in advance it became quickly apparent that they had failed to prepare for our attendance. Firstly they had neglected to prepare the basement area that they obviously don’t use that often. The room smelt musty, causing them to turn the air conditioning on for more than an hour, until one of us decided to suggest to them that we might be cold. We then discovered that their choice of alcohol was reduced to Peroni or ridiculously priced wine. The worst part of the night though was having to wait more than an hour for our main meals, made all the worse by their making excuses when we dared to question the wait.I will never visit this restaurant again and would recommend that you steer well clear of it yourself.
