I’ve always loved Wahaca so when I heard they were coming to Cardiff I was thrilled. Ever since they opened two years ago I’ve visited regularly and have had a consistently high level of service, food and atmosphere. The staff are friendly, food quality is always fantastic and so full of flavour, the place is always immaculately clean and it still looks brand new even today. Value for money is also good – you can spend as much or as little as you like but I’d say an average cost for a meal and a drink is about 15.I usually go for the street food, the ones you can’t miss are the Pork Pibil tacos, Steak tacos, Chipotle chicken quesadillas, and the Sweet potato taquitos. Be sure to try something you wouldn’t ordinarily have – that’s the joy of it!!Highly recommend the place! 🙂

My friend took me here when I went to visit Cardiff after a year. This opened recently (within the past year that I haven’t been to Cardiff). I loved it.First of all, they used my favourite colours for decorating the place. That helped. There are three floors, each slightly different. The top floor where the toilets are has these swinging egg chairs :)When you sit and say that you haven’t been to Wahaca before, they explain how it all works. But, I would suggest getting the street food option, and to order more than one of the Black Bean Tostadas. We were sitting next to two Wahaca veterans who were actually the ones who suggested the Black Bean Tostada. They knew what we were talking about because we had to order a second one because it was just TOO GOOD.
