Relaxed ,warm cosy and friendly pub with fire.Didn’t eat here but lots of others did., Enjoyed the Timothy Taylor’s beer. Also stock Doom Bar. Recomended to us by a local. Glad we visited .

New Year’s Eve dinner. We only booked during that afternoon but were able to reserve a table for 7.30pm. The salad was poor value at £8 as a shared starter. The fish gratin was very good but again £15 seemed a bit expensive.
It was very busy, but we had booked a table for dinner. The food was simple but good. Beer excellent. Staff friendly. Cosy but not crowded.I really enjoyed my ox cheek and mash.
