We went for breakfast on Sunday morning, and we will be going back many more Sundays! We had one of each breakfasts, one with the polenta toast which was the gluten free option, and another one with the dhal which was the vegan option, and they were both lovely. The food looked and smelled fresh, we could see the kitchen where it was being prepared and they were bringing in more supplies for the day. The polenta toast was crispy outside but creamy and rich inside, the vegetable patty was herby and delicious, and the chickpeas and beans very flavourful. The dhal was just the right amount of hot to spice up the breakfast, and the sourdough bread with the vegan butter substitute was heavenly.Staff were also A+, giving us recommendations and tips for shopping and cooking vegan stuff at home, you could see how passionate they are about the food they serve.Everything on the menu seemed to be seasonal, adapted to what the better quality local produce can offer, and the same can be said about the drinks. Have a look at the black boards for the day specials, as they all sounded amazing. Now we had been there for cocktails before, with friends and even sat in the yurt they have in the back garden, but we never tried the food then, so now we’ll have to go back lots and try to compensate for all these missed opportunities!
