Country’s is one of my absolute favorite places to eat. The food never fails to satisfy. I love their chopped BBQ platter and the French fries are amazing. The salads are so huge I can never finish them and they never skimp on sauce or ranch. The place is a little dirty, but it’s a really old building, what do you expect? As for the smell, it smells like BBQ and awesome. They are constantly busy so they gotta be doing something right for people to keep coming back.
Depends. I will completely agree that the ribs are horrid – so if you order them the blame is on you. But, I usually enjoy the pork barbeque and I love the grilled corn on the cob. Have had decent service and bad service here.
Wish I had read the reviews…. Restaurant is rundown, floors look dirty, the cobwebs and general disarray of the place should have had us running for the doors and the smell another reviewer mentioned is still there, but it was late and not much open on a Sunday evening. Servers need some sort of uniform, they all look unkempt. On to the food part… Ribs, terribly dried out. They looked good, but were so tough it was just sad. Okra was okay, a little greasy. The only saving grace of my meal were the fries, which were good. My husband said his chopped pork was good, but agreed with me on the ribs. Note to the server: Don’t talk to the table next to the people you are waiting on about how trashed you get. We don’t want to know. Overall a place to avoid.
The ratings don’t lie. Horrible! Food was old and dried out! Restaurant dirty and run down, with odd smell! Should have left but I had the family with me, needless to say I had the worst BBQ that I have ever had. Dried out ribs, and my husbands pork plate wasn’t any better.
Nasty & Sketchy!!. Some of the worst BBQ I’ve ever had! Food was not fresh and service was terrible. The bathroom was worse than a busy truck stop. The ribs tasted like they had been sitting on the counter for days, dry as you can imagine. The fried chicken was sketchy, some parts not fully cooked and dripping with grease. Had to ask to pay my bill after being ignored for 15 or so minutes. Avoid at all costs!
