Great food. Terrible service.. I don’t think I have ever had food I didn’t like or was even remotely dissatisfied with at Halftime. The service is terrible, though. Waitresses rarely come to your table to refill drinks or anything and it takes forever to actually get your order taken (unless you tell them the first time they come to the table) then when you want to leave (which would benefit them as well) they take forever getting you checked out. This is not a one time problem, I have been 6 or 7 times and it is always bad service. I think you are better of just ordering takeout from them. Though picking it up might be difficult downtown. Seriously, the food is worth the headache,but I would love it if it didn’t stress me out every time I go in. If you go, you cannot go wrong with any of their appetizers,but those boiled peanuts are amazing.
Best Hamburger in Auburn. I just recently tried Halftime’s again after the change in ownership and have to say I’m so glad I did! The hamburger is absolutely the best I have had in town, and I have tried a lot! It is big and juicy with the most delicious bun I have ever had – you can customize your burger anyway you want. I forget which day of the week, but they have their burgers on special for $5.50, a real deal considering the 1/2 lb. patty and loads of fries. My husband had the fish and chips and he enjoyed them also. They also have a full bar and plenty of TV’s to watch. Halftime’s is right downtown Auburn so very convenient to walk to if you are in town for a football game.
