The Hound may be the best place in Auburn. The beer list is fantastic focusing on Alabama craft beers. The menu is diverse and high quality. And talk about atmosphere! It’s great!
For brunch, the Redneck Benedict and Caramel French Toast are amazing. A lot of my friends enjoy the Granola French Toast. For dinner, you can’t pass up adding the mac n cheese to anything. The bacon/turkey/avocado sandwich is a great choice.

Good food. Great atmosphere…. BUT we were asked if we wanted dessert half way through our meal and kept on wanting to pick up our plates when we had our forks in our mouths. OVERALL : very rushed !!!!!!
My husband and I came to the Hound when we first moved to Auburn. The service was friendly, efficient and informative without being overbearing. I had salmon with grilled asparagus and mashed potatoes. All were cooked perfectly. We both enjoyed our food, although my husband would have liked to have larger portions. All in all a good experience, and we will be back. Great restaurant for a date night!
Very Delish!. The hound has really delisious southern food with a twist. Everything I’ve had at this restaurant has been excellent. It can get a little bit pricey, but the food is well worth the expense. I recommend reservations during peak hours.
I ate dinner here tonight and everything was amazing! The hostesses greeted promptly and were very polite. We were seated immediately even though we were fifteen minutes early for our reservation. Our server was Ashley, she was one of the best servers I’ve ever had. She was extremely knowledgeable of the food menu, drink menu, and specials. She gave us excellent recommendations and was very attentive. We ate the scotch egg appetizer to start and the lamb meatballs and bison burger for the main course, we finished with the bread pudding. All of the food exceeded our expectations. The cats meow drink was also delightful. Overall we throughly enjoyed our evening and will be back!
