This was such a super cute little place! The staff was so nice & I got a bowl of pho bigger than my heat for $10!!!! Their drink specials sounded really enticing & if it wasn’t a Monday night we would have stayed & had a few frozen jack & coke slushies!
It’s plain, it’s hot, it’s healthy It’s tasty Vietnamese pho. And if you want pho inBirmingham… this is the only good option,. Period. This family run place is the best Vietnamese food in Birmingham by far. I had an affinity when I move back to Birmingham from Atlanta in the early 2000’s for the place on Greenspring Pho Que Huong?… but it was quickly superseded by this place in quality immediately after saigon noodle house opened. It is simple food but it is healthy and tasty. The noodle dishes and soups are simple fare…and for those on unaccustomed to the unique qualities of certain Asian cuisine’s they are an acquired taste. But once acquired… very difficult to do without.Pho is meat and potatoes comfort food. Meet meat noodles broth Bean sprouts onion….ahhh. The broth and it’s preparation Are key… and these folks know how to do it.I like family-owned operations and this is one. The service is outstanding and it’s a little pricey or than other places but it’s all relative It just don’t cost that much. There are other dishes noodle bowls, sandwiches, rolls They are all good. Needless to say I highly highly recommend this place. Bon apptit.
