Love the place, atmosphere and concept. They change the menu by season and always serve delicious food. Staff is absolutely professional. I visited this restaurant with my sister when I was in Alabama and she just told me that she will be there for dinner again for new years eve!
One of my favorite restaurants at the summit. I have been there a couple of times and always had a great experience. Their menu changes throughout the year, so they only serve fresh, in season, ingredients. The servers are absolutely professional (they call you by name if you had a reservation) and the food is worth every penny. Try it out at least once!

Kind of overpriced for the quality and portion sizes, I had the roasted chicken and my husband had the trout and we both left hungry. No bread. The veggies were a little undercooked too, carrots so raw we couldn’t even slice them with our butter knives. Also disappointed that I couldn’t get the wine flight/sampler at 7:30 on a Saturday night (which they are known for) loved the live entertainment behind the bar.

Service Good – Kitchen Mgt. awful. How does a restaurant run out of an entre at 7 p.m.? How hard is it to cook something Well Done?Our party of four went to S52 in Birmingham, AL with high hopes on Christmas Eve. We had a 6:30 p.m. reservation and arrived around 6:20. One person in our party ordered the venison well done, very well done. It was unevenly cooked and about rare by the bone. I ordered Rack of Lamb and after the order was submitted to the kitchen the waiter returned to our table and said they were out of the lamb. At 7 o’clock.Appetizers were hit or miss: Tuna tartar was kind of lifeless, shrimp stuffed mushrooms pretty good.Next time I want lamb in the Birmingham area I’ll go to Makarios Kabobs and Grill. They really know that they’re doing.
