We were invited to this restaurant with the entire family. I loved how accurate and quick they were with our orders considering we were a large party. The food was delicious- we ordered several kinds of pasta and enjoyed every single one of them.
Came in for brunch today, service was horrific. Took 35 minutes to get my food. I ordered the steak Benedicts with the Tavern hashbrowns. It came cold, so they brought me a new one that was also cold. The server caught an attitude with me, and I don’t understand why. The manager never came over to speak to us but he went to the other tables to speak with them. Never will I ever come back.
Took 45 minutes to be seated. No one ever came to our table to greet us or take our orders. When we spoke to the manager Jeremiah, he didn’t seem to care at all. Will NEVER be back!
Our evening started off with a long trek. We had to park a considerable distance from the restaurant due to the majority of the parking lot being blocked off for valet parking. Luckily it was a beautiful evening, but if the weather would have been bad, then it would have been enough to cancel our reservations. We arrived right on time for our reservation but still had to wait because our table was not ready. I’m patient, so personally it was not a big deal. Our waitress was friendly however she forgot to tell us that some items on the menu were no longer available until we tried to order them. We ordered the pimento cheese fondue for our appetizer and it was really good. I went with french onion soup and a grilled chicken sandwich for my entree. The soup was fantastic. The sandwich was what you can expect from a chicken sandwich. I was surprised on how fast our food came out considering how busy the dinning room was. The manager came by to say hello and I could feel that he was genuine. Village Tavern didn’t blow me away, but I enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere. I definitely recommend getting reservations. If you get invited to dinner here, Go For It. If you are the one making the plans I would weigh your options.
Food goodRob the bar manager is the worst customer service person I have ever seen. The Restuarant is good in spite of management.
Awesome food and service. Get the mac and cheese! Everything on the menu is great especially the pork chops. They have a wide selection of spirits as well.
I don’t understand the big deal about this place…. It was very basic. Nothing exciting
