Zapopan’s is our family’s favorite resturant. We go once or twice a week NO LIE, I will be honest we visit each establishment, Calera and Montevallo . They are brothers and the menus are alike. We order the same things from each of them. The margaritas are the best I have ever had anywhere. Do not pass this place up you will not regreet!
BEST MEXICAN FOOD!!!!. We drive 30 minutes to get there and it is worth it. Delicious food and great service!!!!
Steak qeusadillas were the best I have had. Margaritas are fantastic as well.. Great balance amongst all the different flavors. I will come back for sure!
Disgusting. I gave this place two chances. the first time i ordered a shrimp quesadilla to go. the shrimp was dried out and old and WAY too salty. also cold.Again, i gave them another chance. ordered the shrimp quesadilla again. when i got home, it was canned chicken and everything was extreamely salty and cold. i called and spoke to the manager. he did not seem concerned and made no effort to try and make it right.this place is mediocre if you dine in, take out is horrible.
Zapopan. Cherizo dip is the best thing they have it’s spicy sausage in cheese dip and it’s the bomb. My favorite resteraunt ever!
My new favorite!. Went here after Mass one Sunday with friends and fell in love with the atmosphere,food and friendliness of the staff. My husband and I now go here for date night and we’ve always been more than happy! I love the hot chips and the chicken is super tender. Worth your time and money!
Excellent. Went on a busy Friday evening. Parking lot was full, as was the restaurant; we were offered immediate seating in the smoking section – no one appeared to be smoking so we accepted. Zapopan has a large menu, but it is very well designed. Still it takes a few minutes to zero in on your choice. I picked the Carne Asada, and my date went for the Chicken Burrito. We both had iced tea, which was very refreshing, served with wonderful chipped ice. The chips & salsa were average, with maybe a little more heat than usual. We received our entrees before we could finish the first bowl of chips. The Carne Asada was one of the best I’ve ever had… perfectly grilled fork tender steak (with a hint of Dale’s Steak Sauce) on top of a mound of guacamole, pico de gallo, lettuce, with a side of beans and rice. It was hanging off the side of the plate. I was prepared to cut the steak into little pieces but it was so tender I just slapped a piece on the tortilla, smeared on the guacamole, topped with pico and dug in… it was great! Had enough steak for all four tortillas. Highly recommended. My date raved about her Chicken Burrito, which was smothered in a guacamole salad. Lots of chicken, and again, with plenty of their wonderful guacamole. Overall a very satisfying trip. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The bill came to $27 plus tip. We’ll make this a regular stop.
